Burger Drop confirms opening date for Middlesbrough restaurant
Middlesbrough’s wait is finally over. Burger Drop has confirmed its brand-new restaurant will officially open on Friday 12th September from 6pm, bringing the cult smash burger experience to the town for the first time.
To celebrate the launch, the first 50 customers through the door will each receive a free burger, with half-price burgers for the rest of the evening. If past openings are anything to go by, Middlesbrough can expect queues outside the restaurant as fans line up to be among the first to get a taste.

The 20-cover restaurant at 176 Linthorpe Road has been fully transformed into a stripped-back, flavour-first space where the focus stays firmly on the craft. Customers can dine in, grab their order to go, or order via Uber Eats for delivery at home.
From opening night, Middlesbrough will get the full Burger Drop experience. Precision-smashed patties made from freshly ground beef, brioche buns baked to a custom recipe, indulgent fried chicken builds, loaded fries and blended shakes made to order.
Middlesbrough Franchisee, Safi Nayyar, said: “We’re so excited to bring Burger Drop to Middlesbrough. With our opening date just around the corner, we can’t wait to welcome everyone through the doors and see the restaurant buzzing as people enjoy their first taste of the Burger Drop experience. It’s going to be a special night, and we can’t wait to show the town what makes our burgers so unique.”
The Middlesbrough site is Burger Drop’s sixth UK location, joining Newcastle, Whitley Bay, Sunderland, Manchester and Edinburgh, with further sites already on the horizon.
